Our Past Productions
In 2022, Golden House Theater presented a spirited rendition of Gilbert & Sullivan's beloved operetta, “The Pirates of Penzance.” Performed at Eccles Community Hall amid the scenic beauty of the rural Palouse, our production was a lively celebration of swashbuckling adventure, romance, and comedy. With a talented cast and dedicated volunteers, we brought the charming characters and infectious melodies of this timeless classic to life, enchanting audiences with our captivating performances, vibrant costumes, and imaginative set designs. From the antics of the pirates to the heartfelt harmonies of the Modern Major General's daughters, our production of “The Pirates of Penzance” showcased the magic of community theater and delighted all who experienced it.
In 2023, Golden House Theater achieved a resounding success with our staging of Rodgers and Hammerstein's timeless masterpiece, “The Sound of Music.” Over the course of four unforgettable performances, our production transported audiences into the heartwarming world of the von Trapp family and their journey of love, courage, and resilience. Led by a talented ensemble of performers and dedicated volunteers, we brought the iconic characters and unforgettable songs to life on stage, capturing the essence of this beloved musical with authenticity and charm. From the sweeping vistas of the Austrian Alps to the stirring melodies that have captivated generations, our rendition of “The Sound of Music” was a musical and theatrical triumph, enchanting audiences of all ages and leaving a lasting impression on our community.
